How to play
Choose a stake and spin. The starting grid has four symbols on each of five reels (4-4-4-4-4) and offers 1,024 base ways to win: matching symbols on adjacent reels form a win without paylines. According to the page the bet range is €0.20 to €100.
Enhancer Cells
Each reel has locked Enhancer Cell positions at the top and bottom. When they open they can reveal one of the 5 top paying symbols, a Wild, a Razor Split or an xWays symbol.
- Razor Split: splits all regular positions on that reel in two. If it lands on both the top and bottom cells of the same reel it splits them twice. If it splits the Bonus symbol on its reel, the Bonus symbol turns into Wilds and splits its row.
- xWays: all xWays symbols reveal the same regular paying symbol, stacked 5 high. If xWays appears on both active Enhancer Cells of a reel, the whole reel is covered by 10 single Wilds.
Split Wild and the Bonus symbol
In the base game a Split Wild can land on any reel and splits the regular symbols on the same reel (not itself). 1 or 2 Bonus symbols turn into Wilds and open the Enhancer Cells on their reels; 3 or more trigger Green Mile Spins.
For ways and volatility see the slot terms and volatility guide.
Worked example
A simple sum shows how ways grow: on a 4-4-4-4-4 grid the number of ways is 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 = 1,024. If a Razor Split lands on reel two and splits its 4 regular positions in two, that reel has 8 positions and the ways rise to 4 × 8 × 4 × 4 × 4 = 2,048. If Razor Splits land on both the top and bottom cells of the same reel, the page says the positions are split twice. More ways mean more chances of a win, not a guaranteed win; the payout depends on the symbols and the game's paytable. The example only illustrates the mechanic.
Green Mile Spins
3, 4 or 5 Bonus symbols trigger Green Mile Spins with 1, 2 or 3 starting Jumping Wilds respectively. Before the round starts you choose: start with the Jumping Wilds you have, or risk losing 5 spins for the chance of one more. The maximum is 5 Jumping Wilds; the 4th and 5th start with an x2 multiplier. On reaching 5 Jumping Wilds, the page says you are offered a further choice between risking 5 spins and the maximum win. These gamble steps make the outcome distribution even more extreme.
The number of Jumping Wilds sets how many reels have active Enhancer Cells:
- 1 Jumping Wild: 3 reels
- 2 Jumping Wilds: 4 reels
- 3, 4 or 5 Jumping Wilds: 5 reels
The active reels are drawn at random at the start and stay fixed for the whole feature. A Bonus symbol landing on a reel with closed cells opens them and turns into a Jumping Wild. In the feature, 2-5 Bonus symbols add 3-6 spins.
Jumping Wilds
Jumping Wilds jump to a random regular position on every spin. A Jumping Wild landing on a reel with a Razor Split doubles its multiplier, keeps it for the rest of the feature and also splits all positions on its row. A Jumping Wild's multiplier counts as the number of Wilds on that position.
No Escape (maximum win)
The game's maximum payout is 200,000x the base bet. When the total win exceeds this, Green Mile Spins end and 200,000x is awarded.
Bonus buy, xBet and Action Spins
Nolimit Bonus gives direct access to the bonus features at 100x to 2,500x the base bet. xBet (Nolimit Booster) charges extra on every spin: 2x the base bet for 1 guaranteed scatter, 45x for 2 guaranteed scatters. Action Spins is an optional mode that plays many rounds rapidly. According to the provider these features may be removed in some regulated markets. At Insane volatility a single buy can cost hundreds of times the bet; these options should not be used without a firm budget limit.
Differences from the original San Quentin

The sequel also adds a Jumping Wild gamble before the feature starts. The simplest way to tell them apart is the title and the grid layout. For Nolimit City's other games see the provider page.
Can you play a demo?
Nolimit City's official game page has a "Demo" button. This site does not host the demo and no button labelled "demo" leads to a registration page. In an Insane-volatility game a demo helps you learn the features, but a short session will not show the long losing runs you can meet in real play. Frequently asked questions
How do you play San Quentin 2: Death Row?
Wins are counted across 1,024 base ways on a 4-4-4-4-4 grid. When the Enhancer Cells above and below the reels open, symbols like Razor Split, xWays or Wild can add ways; 3 or more Bonus symbols trigger Green Mile Spins.
What is the RTP of San Quentin 2?
The official page states 96.13%. It is a long-run theoretical average; at Insane volatility short-term results can be very far from it.
Is there a strategy for San Quentin 2?
No. Results are decided by a random number generator. The Jumping Wild gamble or a bonus buy does not improve the expected result; it only changes the risk. Because volatility is extremely high, decide in advance how much and how long you can afford to lose.
What is the maximum win?
According to the official page, 200,000x the bet; the page puts its probability at 1 in 1.5m. It is a cap, not an expected result.
Is San Quentin 2: Death Row available at Virusbet?
Not verified. Whether a specific game is offered by an operator depends on country and agreements.
