How to play

Choose a stake and spin. The grid has 6 reels and 5 rows; the official page gives the win type as Cluster Pays. When a win forms, the contributing regular symbols, plus any matching symbols visible on the reels, vanish and new symbols drop into the gaps. Hacksaw calls this Super Cascades; the process repeats as long as new drops keep forming wins.

Golden Squares and the Rainbow

Every position that was part of a win is marked with a Golden Square once its symbol disappears. If a Rainbow symbol is present on the same spin, all Golden Squares activate and each receives a coin value or one of two special symbols (Four-Leaf Clover or Pot of Gold):

• Bronze coin: 0.2x to 4x
• Silver coin: 5x to 20x
• Gold coin: up to 500x
• Four-Leaf Clover: after the coins are revealed, multiplies adjacent cells (Pots of Gold included) by 2x to 10x.
• Pot of Gold: collects the value of the coins and other Pots of Gold in view. Pots activate top to bottom, left to right; after the last pot has collected, the Golden Squares activate for one more round.

Without a Rainbow, Golden Squares in the base game award nothing on that spin. For volatility and symbol terminology see the slot terms guide.

Symbols

The per-symbol paytable is not given on the official promotional page, so it is not given here either; see the in-game info screen.

Worked example

Say a 10 ₺ spin produces two consecutive cluster wins and a total of 6 positions are marked with Golden Squares. A Rainbow lands on the same spin. Four squares become bronze coins (say 0.5x, 1x, 1x and 2x), one a silver coin (5x) and one a Pot of Gold. The pot collects the coins: 0.5 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 5 = 9.5x. Had a 2x clover been next to the pot, the clover would have multiplied the pot's value. 9.5x on a 10 ₺ stake is 95 ₺, on top of the cluster wins. The example only illustrates the mechanic; real values are random and depend on the game's rules.

Luck of the Bandit (3 FS)

Triggered by 3 FS symbols in the base game. In this round Golden Squares stay highlighted between spins until a Rainbow activates them. The official page does not state the starting number of spins. In the round, 2 FS symbols add 2 spins and 3 FS symbols add 3; landing 4 FS symbols upgrades you to All That Glitters Is Gold with your remaining spins plus 4 more.

All That Glitters Is Gold (4 FS)

Triggered by 4 FS symbols at once in the base game and starts with 12 free spins. Golden Squares stay highlighted for the whole round and can be activated again and again, so the Rainbow symbol is the key to the round. Extra spins are earned the same way as in the previous round.

Treasure at the End of the Rainbow (5 FS)

Triggered by 5 FS symbols in a base game spin and awards 12 free spins. Highlighted squares stay lit throughout and a Rainbow is guaranteed on every spin. According to the official page this round cannot be bought.

Bonus buy and BonusHunt FeatureSpins

The Buy Bonus menu gives direct access to the bonus rounds; prices are not given on the official page. BonusHunt FeatureSpins give 5x better odds of triggering a bonus for a fee of 3x the stake. Whether these options are enabled varies by operator and country; a more expensive spin does not mean a better expected outcome.

Differences from Le Bandit Hold & Win

The game players usually mean by "Le Bandit" is the original Le Bandit covered on this page. Hacksaw's catalogue also lists a separate game, Le Bandit Hold & Win. According to the official pages:

The Hold & Win edition also has Jackpot Marker symbols that award one of four jackpot prizes. The simplest way to tell them apart is the game title; if you see Golden Squares and cluster wins, you are in the original Le Bandit.

Can you play a demo?

Hacksaw Gaming's official game page has a "Try it" button for trying the game. This site does not host the demo and no button labelled "demo" leads to a registration page.
